After meeting Ashley at a Mammady Keita workshop in Victoria, I was taken with her enthusiasm and friendly spirit - but mostly her ambitious desire to make a difference in a globalizing world. She has genuine concern for the Peruvian culture and specifically the challenges of the younger generation. Can I suggest possible smaller donation options as well, for people who want to help in her excellent efforts but can't make that big a commitment.

Hey all... this Friday marks the first official Mosqoy East Coast event. On April 6 my exhibit, "Pensamientos de Perú" opens, featuring textiles provided by Casa Ecologica and Norberta y Alfredo of Chincherro. My ultimate goal is to have them all sold by April 28, when the show is over, but it would be incredible to see them all disappear at the opening! Thanks all for supporting the community of Ollantaytambo.

After reading about Mosqoy I had to pause and think in silence. What a fantastic example to us all; the amount of effort put into this project is inspirational and evident by its level of sheer brilliance, and what a positive effect we can have in this modern phenomenon of a global community. Reading about people like Ashley is moving; how much can one give? Who could want for a better example of faith and hope in humanity. This lady will go a long way. I think it is time for me to see how far I can go, and help this moral cause in the process.
